At Sound Concepts we create a drawing of every project with a significant design or upgrade. It is critical that each system is documented for future reference. This provides us with a copy of your system so that we can be viewing it while talking with you about any upgrades or troubleshooting procedure. Yes it adds a some cost to a project but it is well worth the expense when troubles arise. An individualized client portal is provided for the customer to access which includes copies of their individualized drawings and other documentation such as manufacturer's operator manuals etc. See an example here: Client Portal Sample Page

Drawings are maintained whenever changes are made by us and programming notes are included as modifications are made. It is especially critical with the advent of IP or network based A/V systems that accurate and complete documentation be maintained to prevent costly investigations and support times in the event of a system or device failure.
